$1900 is my guesstimate! Here are my worst case scenarios:
$600 per person 8 Nights Lodging
- Currently expecting 6, but maybe 8 or 9 travelers for at least part of the trip.
Once you say yes, please pay me for your part of the lodging, even if you cancel your trip. I don't want to get stuck paying for something I didn't plan for.
- Check in October 17th.
- Check out October 25th.
- I will put it on a spreadsheet with a due date to pay deposit and final payment.
- Expect to sleep
- in a bed you will find comfortable
- with the person you are also comfortable.
- The priorities for my lodging choices:
- King and queen rooms for couples
- Single beds and roommates when that makes sense
- Good wifi
- Air conditioning
- Full kitchen
- Multiple showers
- Toilets on each floor
- Laundry in unit or laundromat in walking distance
- Near public transportation.
- Near a supermarket.
- Lots of positive reviews
- You book your own tickets.
- Fly in and out of DCA (Ronald Reagan National Airport)
- Arrive on Saturday, October 17th, in the afternoon
- Leave before 3pm or 4pm on October 25th. (respect the lodging's checkout time)

$200 per person Restaurants (varies)
- I try to eat out no more than once daily.
- We breakfast or dinner at home.
- Plan to pack a snack.
$100 per person Supermarket (varies)
- I bring protein shakes and bars with me.
- I buy yogurt, meats and cheeses, snacks on first night.
- I buy water bottles (or refill throughout the day) on the fly.
- We might make a group dinner once or twice.
$100 per person Drinks (varies)
- As I commonly drink water, this might be high for me, but low for Craig.
$35 per person Reservations (free entries still charge fees for reservations)
- I'll put these on the spread sheet
$65 per person 1 week metro card (optional but easiest)
$100 per person Mount Vernon Day (this depends on what we decide)
$100 Washington Capitals Hockey Tickets (optional) or other fun opportunities I might find.

Comparison:
TourRadar lists 2 tours, 6 days each, with many of the activities, but we are doing more. Without airfare, the tours are $2999 and $3200. We save a substantial amount lodging together.
